A Modern Dessert Table
How petit gateaux, macarons, and tarts can create rhythm across a reception.
A dessert table is a composition. Height, color, repetition, and negative space matter as much as the flavors themselves.
We often build around a central cake, then add petit gateaux, macarons, tarts, and cookies in a restrained palette. Guests should be able to scan quickly and choose naturally.
For events, the table also has to move well. Pieces must hold their finish, serve cleanly, and feel generous without overwhelming the room.
